Manchester: We are like glue, we stick together by Kate England

The Manchester bombing is the 13th terrorist attack in Europe since 2015. Paris, Copenhagen, Villejuif, Paris, Brussels, Magnanville, Nice, St.-Étienne-du-Rouvray, Berlin, London, Stockholm, Paris, Manchester. Another city rejecting fear and division, and instead responding with solidarity and courage.

As one taxi driver put it: “We’re glue. We stick together when it counts.”

Christmas Village Scene by Kate England

This festive village scene is inspired by the village Dore in Yorkshire, and the Village Christmas Lantern Parade.  I envision separate small scenes, unique for each dinner plate, adorned with gold rims. This is an illustration to bring cheer to the Christmas dinner table. Ceramics, table linens and decorations.

I've added lots of new pieces to my portfolio. You'll find the enchanted forest of William Shakespeare's Midsummer Night's Dream. An imagined book cover for an Encyclopedia about mythological creatures of the oceans, lakes and rivers. Recollections and reflections from a pool as well as the recipe for Great Aunt Mary's Chutney.
